The music on this album is selected from compositions that have piled up in my drawer over the last twelve years.
The inspiration has been coming from many sources, but if you listen carefully you can probably tell that I grew up
at a time when "fusion" was still a viable musical genre.
It was a mixture of jazz, pop, rock and blues, but at the same time it had its own identity. This was also the time of the
instrumental group. Instead of singing words, the musicians were talking to me through saxophones, trumpets and guitars,
and I put my own meaning into their music.
In the same way, i hope that my music will say something to you.
November 2009, Per Sigmond.
