History:
It started in 1989 when Per joined Espens jazz/fusion group. Espen had a lot of experience from playing pop- and standard-jazz while
Pers background was mainly big-band jazz and classical music. The group played a mix of standard-repertoire jazz and original
compositions. Our (own original) music went through a process of evolution and refinement, constantly influenced by input from the public, other
group members and many other musicians that played our music in various settings. Some compositions were played only once or twice,
some were never played, while others didn't even make it through the first band rehearsals. However, some of the material had the quality
needed for undergoing further development and the result of this selective process is hereby presented on this CD.
